My painting "Little winter landscape" took award for 1 place as "Best in show" in Newnan-Coweta Art Association show "Christmas lighst". I am very happy today!!!

Dear friends, I am very exited today, because I participated  in two Exibitions of our county Art Association. And... my painting "Indian summer"

took a first place as best in the show.

And painting "September"



took award "Merchant choice". Wow!!!

Also, my painting "Summer romantism" took award  "Best in show"  in second  Exibition.

Pencils, little photoshop. Never I could make copy of this scetch... I wanted to do finished work, but... it never looked the same...

Sonnet to a seascape by Jan Oskar Hansen

I never saw how green the sea is off the coast

of Labrador, didn't notice a blue whale blowing

a Geyser of warm water, and missed the halo of

haze the giant created. I didn't see how azure

the Carribean is, nor dolphins racing alongside

my ship; the golden sand of Cuba passed me

by, as did shadows of tiger sharks on sunlit sea.

The magesty of a raging Pacific Ocean didn't

register, busy I was navigating to Tokyo Bay,

thinking of Japan's many delights. Sea ports

have paled into irrelevance "What was her

name?" Now that it is too late, only the essence

of what I failed to be thankful for, the constant

beauty of the seascape remains.

Oil on canvas 16"x20". 2007. I want to show this portrait in different lights.

Hello, everyone, who visit my site! Today I start new page of news and announcements. And here are some:

1. My painting "Venice" won award of "February best art" on the site  http://thecatswillknowgallery.splinder.com  in Italy. This is most pleasant news for me!

 The same panting was selected    as featured image on the site  www.artwanted.com , where  it   has more then 9000 views during   the month of January 2007. And also this painting was featured on the top ten placement on the same site at the 01/19/07.

2. I have been featured in Monthly Newsletter, DailyDeviant's Jan. & Feb. Feature!  at the site www.deviantart.com . I have been selected as the best of the best for this month. Congratulations to me!!!

3. I am going to start new page "Demonstrations" for everyone who wants to see step by step painting.
